Analytics Airflow & Orchestration Boosting Program

Learn to orchestrate production-ready analytics pipelines with Airflow 3, dbt, DuckDB, Cosmos, CI/CD, and modern AE best practices.

About This Course

The Analytics Airflow & Orchestration Boosting Program is a hands-on learning experience designed to help Analytics Engineers and Data Analysts build reliable, maintainable, and production-ready orchestration workflows using Airflow 3.

This program expands the Analytics Engineering learning path by connecting Python-based ingestion, dbt-based transformation, and Airflow-based orchestration into a complete end-to-end pipeline development experience. Participants will learn how to design and operate workflows that fetch data from external APIs, store data safely in analytical databases, execute dbt projects dynamically, validate data quality, and automate pipeline execution through CI/CD practices.

The curriculum uses Airflow 3 Task SDK, Astro CLI, Astronomer Cosmos, DuckDB, dbt Core, SQLFluff, dbt_project_evaluator, and GitHub Actions to simulate real-world production environments. Learners will also prepare for the Astronomer Airflow DAG Authoring Certification, helping validate their orchestration skills against professional industry standards.

By the end of the program, participants will be able to build a production-style orchestration project using the Transport for Ireland GTFS Alerts dataset, integrating API ingestion, database storage, dbt transformations, snapshot-based historical tracking, asset-aware scheduling, automated testing, documentation, and CI/CD validation.

Requirements

Participants should have a foundational understanding of:

  • SQL and relational data modeling
  • Python fundamentals
  • Git and GitHub workflows
  • Basic data warehousing concepts
  • dbt fundamentals, or previous completion of the Analytics dbt Boosting Program

The program is especially recommended for Analytics Engineers, Data Analysts, and new hires preparing to work on production-grade data transformation and orchestration projects.
